Berwyn Station, Gwyned: Dramatically set on the steep-sided hill above the River Dee, this picturesque station was built in the mid 1860s along the Llangollen and Corwen Railway. The chairman of the railway company had his mansion close by and insisted upon having his own first class waiting room for him and his guests. The brick building was built with black and white timber work clad on its upper storeys and a rather unique cantilevered platform along the viaduct in the foreground.
